The Season of Lent begins on Ash Wednesday with a service of scripture, prayer, music, preaching, and the imposition of ashes. Throughout the service, we’ll be reminded of the good news that while we are mortal, God’s love and grace redeems and saves us.  A particular element of the Ash Wednesday service is when we’ll impose ashes on everyone’s forehead as a sign and marker of the truth of our condition. The SPC Adult Choir will present Create in Me A Clean Heart and organ music will be provided by Adam Savacool.  Join us at 6:30 p.m. on Wednesday, February 14, in the sanctuary.
